The National N-Diploma in Hospitality & Catering Services (N4-N6)

This programme provides students with the latest hospitality related subject matter that is both relevant and specific to their career choice. Students are geared with the skills and knowledge required, to enter into the exciting and diverse hospitality industry.

Duration of the programme: 3 years full time study.

The programme consists of the following components:
Year 1: N4 Certificate – 6 months on campus (theory and practical) + 6 months workplace learning (monitored practical experience);
Year 2: N5 Certificate – 6 months on campus (theory and practical) + 6 months workplace learning (monitored practical experience);
Year 3: N6 Certificate – 6 months on campus (theory and practical) + 6 months workplace learning (monitored practical experience).

The Academy will place students in Guvon Hotels or other exceptional hotel properties. Students are supported throughout this period.

Entrance requirements: National Senior Certificate (NSC) or National Senior (NSV) Certificate Vocational or equivalent.

On successful completion of national examinations and work-integrated learning, students will receive the National N-Diploma in Hospitality and Catering Services.

International accreditation

As an additional option students may elect to simultaneously enrol for the international awards in Hospitality and Tourism, offered by the Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality (CTH) in the United Kingdom.
