|Qualification & Experience:|
Formal Chef Qualification
Minimum 2-4 years as a CDP in a 5 star kitchen.
Main purpose and key responsibilities:
To assist the Executive Chef in the kitchen operation and ensure the company’s reputation for food quality is maintained at all times.
To plan, prepare and cook menu items as directed by the Executive and/or Sous Chef.
To assist in the development and planning of menus.
To assist with stock taking when required.
To carry out the smooth and efficient running of your section as appropriate.
Must have a strong cooking background in all aspects of food preparation, especially cold kitchen.
Must be strong in hygiene control and safety procedures in the kitchen
Must be familiar with the costing and control of food and relevant stock
Must have good communication skills at all levels
Good knowledge of products
Sound knowledge of kitchen cookery methods
Must be innovative
Must be honest and reliable
Must be able to maintain quality and set standards
NB - Must be willing to work late shifts
